PromptMaster

A prompt library and a prompt grader do different jobs

A library hands you a prompt someone else finished. A grader looks at the prompt you were about to send. PromptMaster is the grader, and it also keeps a small library.

Prompt library

Apps in this category, including large catalogs such as PromptShelf and local notebooks such as PromptVault, are built for browsing. You pick a profession or a topic, copy a finished prompt, and sometimes fill in a blank. As of October 2026, those two were free to use, with ads or an optional tip rather than a rewrite of your own draft. They are the right tool when you do not yet know what to ask.

Prompt wizard

A wizard walks you through role, tone, and format, then assembles a prompt. One Android app also named PromptMaster (package com.votreom.promptmaster, not this app) did that and offered a one-time unlock around $2.99, with ads, and an optional Gemini key. Copy worked without a key. It does not score a prompt you already wrote.

Streak coach

A coach teaches prompting with a daily streak. The one reviewed in October 2026 sold a subscription: about $4.99 a month, or $29.99 a year with a trial shown on the yearly plan. That is a course. It is a different product from a grade of the prompt in your clipboard.

Getting the prompt into the chat

A library still ends at copy. The phone clipboard is a poor place to keep a prompt when you switch between ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. PromptMaster Pro opens ChatGPT and Claude with the rewrite filled in. Gemini does not accept that kind of link, so the Gemini button copies the text and opens the app. More hands the same text to any app on the Android share sheet. None of the library, wizard, or coach apps above pair that handoff with a grade of the draft you wrote.

Use a library when you want a starting point. Use PromptMaster when you already have a draft and want to know why the answer will be vague.

Prices and features of other apps change. This page describes what was on those Android apps in October 2026.
